It is the last day of February. It is also an extra day in this month. Leap day. But, February, oh, how we will not miss you. In fact, I am going to pretend that it is already March, because the only things about you, February, that I like is the fact that you really are a short month anyway.Five things that I am sure that Yakima Valley will not miss about February are ...

1. Crappy Piles of Dirty Snow - Yuck!

I hate snow anyway, but it seems that January and February bring really dirty and piled up snow mounds. I hate them and always will. Except when I was a kid and then I ran up them, but I am not a kid now. HA

2.  Extra Heating Bills - Ouch!

Begone, you evil electric company and your overages on heating bills. I also hate that when you call them and ask them why, they remind you that you need to winterize properly. Really?

3. The Super Bowl - Ugh!

I love football and always will, but it is never my team. I also am sick and tired of the music they choose for the halftime show.

4.  Being broke - Never a dime.

It usually takes about three months to come out of the Christmas blues. Electric bills (see above), extra munchies (which cost money), because kids are bored and cold, so they sit on their butts and do nothing in the month of February.

5. Too many birthdays to buy gifts for - $

I know about 15 people with birthdays in the month of February. Five of them are little kids, so they are easy to buy for. The other 10 are all adults. They usually want beer and that is expensive as well. I would rather spend my money on going to the beach in a selfish manner!
