In celebration of Aberdeen, Washington's first ever 'Kurt Cobain Day' on Thursday, we bring you Kurt being Kurt - in gif form.

Last month, in the Nirvana frontman's hometown of Aberdeen, Mayor Bill Simpson officially proclaimed February 20 Kurt Cobain Day. Cobain grew up in Aberdeen and also in Hoquiam, WA. Hoquiam will also commemorate the late musician with Nirvana Day on April 10 in conjunction with the Seattle band being inducted into the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame.

The proclamation from Aberdeen Mayor Simpson reads:

Aberdeen residents may justifiably take pride in the role our community played in the life of Kurt Cobain and the international recognition our community has gained from its connections with Kurt Cobain and his artistic achievements.
