It didn't take long for melodic metalcore group All That Remains to start working on the follow-up to their 2017 album Madness. Now, frontman Phil Labonte has announced that the new record is done and should be available "soon."

Labonte broke the news to Jon's Untitled Podcast (heard below), but he refused to describe any of the music. "I don't wanna start talking about what the new record sounds like yet. 'Cause we haven't talked about the new record publicly at all, really," Labonte said.

Instead of discussing the songs, Labonte reiterated that the album is coming "soon," but he wasn't sure exactly when. "It'll definitely be out next year. It'll be available early part of next year. I'm not sure when the release date's gonna be. But I don't wanna get into [the sound of the album], just because I don't wanna spoil the surprise."

The yet-untitled disc will be the group's ninth album. At present, there's no news about where the disc was recorded or who produced.

Madness was written in 2016 and recorded at West Valley Studios in Woodland Hills, California with producer Howard Benson. The disc came out April 28 and debuted at #50 on the Billboard album chart. It reached #9 on the Billboard U.S. Top Rock Albums Chart and #1 On the US Top Hard Rock Albums chart on the backs of five singles: "Madness," "Safe House," "Halo," "Louder" and "The Thunder Rolls."

All That Remains formed in 1998 and played a major role in the Massachusetts metalcore scene. In the past, the band, has worked on albums with other major producers including Killswitch Engage's Adam Dutkiewicz, Rob Graves, Josh Wilbur and Jason Suecof.
