The music video for Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ recently made an appearance on VH1′s ‘Pop Up Video.’ The video was directed by Spike Jonze (famous for his work on the critically acclaimed films ‘Being John Malkovich,’ ‘Adaptation’ and ‘Where the Wild Things Are’). Scenes from the video were taken from a dystopian short film created by Jonze back in 2010 entitled ‘Scenes from the Suburbs.’ The pop-up effects incorporated into the video are full of fun tidbits for viewers, including the fact that members of Arcade Fire did not appear in the video because “most of the band was stuck back home in Canada.”
