Noah Lebenzon and Thomas Froggatt, the brains behind Asian She, met back in 1998, but it wasn’t until 2012 that the alt-rock duo sat down to record some music together. The resulting five tracks complete their self-titled debut EP, all of which offer dark, gloomy goodness and make the 14 years well worth the wait.

Lebenzon’s brooding baritone blends seamlessly with the impressive guitar work, ultimately creating gems like today’s free MP3 download, ‘6:17.’ Despite the EP’s pervading darkness, Lebenzon told Diffuser.fm that the twosome usually isn’t as brooding as their songs suggest.

“This was the first song we wrote together,” he said of '6:17.' “It’s about death. We’re not really that deep, but that’s how it came out.”
