Fame may be fleeting, but as one reporter learned, never point that out to Paris Hilton. During an interview with ABC’s Dan Harris, Hilton stormed out when asked if her celebrity status might be waning.
The interview, which aired on ‘Good Morning America’ today, began routinely enough. Harris first asked Hilton about her experience with alleged stalker James Brian Rainford and her carefully-crafted onscreen persona. But then the reporter cited low ratings for her show ‘The World According to Paris’ and asked if she worries about her “moment having passed.”
The loveable meatheads of ‘Jersey Shore’ head overseas to Italy for a season filled with more of the same — fights, fist-pumping and ill-advised hookups. And we finally get a glimpse of Snooki’s collision with an Italian cop car, which made the tabloids in May.
Feel like getting away from it all? Then consider moving to Buford, Wyoming, where just one man, Don Sammons, comprises the town’s entire population. The ’Today‘ show profiled Sammons and his determination to keep his town alive.
Sammons left Los Angeles 20 years ago and moved to Buford when it had a total of seven residents. Now, he’s the lone occupant in the quiet town, which has only a single paved road running past its abandoned schoolhouse.
Fans of Brutus, the monstrous saltwater crocodile, take heart: He’s real! Ever since a photograph of the 18-foot-long, 2000-lb. crocodile surfaced earlier this week, some have alleged that it may have been a hoax.
So, an intrepid crew from ‘Today’ embarked on a tour of the Adelaide River in Australia in search of the massive reptile. Lo and behold, the crew managed to film footage of the approximately 80-year-old animal as it happily munched on buffalo provided by their tour guide. And, disturbingly, Brutus appeared to be every bit as large as the stories said.
Let it be known that Kyra Sedgwick would dominate the game ‘Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.’ And it’s not just because she’s married to Bacon. She’s also his distant relative, she said on the ‘Late Show’ Thursday night.
“It was tough,” Huntington-Whiteley laughed. “I really had to tie myself into my trailer. I really had to restrain myself. Seven months of shooting, it was really tough for me. I had to wear a chastity belt.”
Among the horrific ideas, children suggested hitting Sheen with Barbies until he’s dead, whipping him and feeding him to fire ants, blowing him up with a bazooka, poisoning his pudding cup and giving him cancer like a cat.
On Wednesday, Coldplay premiered a video for ‘Every Teardrop is a Waterfall,’ the first single from their new EP of the same name, as reported by PopCrush. This driving, upbeat song follows the band’s Grammy-winning 2008 album ‘Viva la Vida.’
It’s a shimmery, guitar-based track and the accompanying video is nothing short of visually-arresting. As Chris Martin and the Coldplay lads wander through a decaying urban environment, neon colors follow them wherever the go, bringing life back to the landscape.
Gene Simmons wept openly as he visited the grave of his estranged father, Feri Witz, on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels.’ Although Simmons did offer financial support to his father, he had very little contact with him later in life.
Simmons broke down in tears as a letter from his deceased father was read graveside in Israel. In the letter, Witz complimented Simmons on his beautiful wife and family.
Since the gaffe, Bachmann has admitted that she misspoke, but Colbert takes issue with her concession. “What on earth are you apologizing for? All you said is that you have the same spirit as John Wayne Gacy, and I think there is something to that.” Colbert said. “Because like Gacy, people might think you’re a clown. But if they dig a little deeper, they’ll find you are deadly serious.”
