John Riggs

I've been in radio since 2001 and moved around a few times before landing where I am now. I'm married with three children. I'm an autism acceptance advocate. I love to cook, just don't like doing the dishes afterward. I have a knack for all things nostalgic from the '80s and '90s, love breakfast cereal a little too much and am a huge fan of video games, especially retro games from Atari to Nintendo and beyond.
Glow Sticks

What Do You Do if Your Glow Stick Breaks and Gets on Your Child?

Glow sticks are available all year round but they seem to be more popular during the Halloween season for keeping your children nice and bright while they're out trick-or-treating. Unfortunately, glow sticks are made of a soft, plastic material that can easily be punctured by biting or bent too hard so they break own. What made it even more creepy was that Smiling Man was a real person someone encountered on his walk home. His telling of his experience inspired someone to even make a short film.

Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Stop Looking At Your Phone Every Five Seconds’ Commercial Parody

You know them, you see them daily, you probably contribute to the cause. The cell phone has become the distraction that you must know what's going on, you need to see what others are doing and you just need to know the answer to an unimportant question that pops in your head. Jimmy Kimmel, the other night, came up with this new (fake) product that should help with the cause. Hopefully it'll make more people just relax and enjoy life for a few fleeting moments.
