April 12, 2013 Today, April 12th, is my birthday. It's shared with David Letterman, Shannen Doherty, Claire Danes and many others, I'm sure. I appreciate the 'Happy Birthdays' but I don't celebrate it much. I'm kind of a homebody so I chill at home with the kids. Sure, we'll get a cake because that's what's supposed to happen on your birthday from a kid's point of view, but I refuse to go out. Here are my top five reasons why I never go out on my birthday.
April 11, 2013 There was an ad on Craigslist from a restaurant looking for bands to gain experience by, basically, playing there for free. A musician saw this and thought how it might feel if he turned it around on the restaurant.
April 10, 2013 I try my best to be polite for two main reasons. First of all, it's free so it doesn't hurt. Secondly it how I'd want to be treated or see someone else treat anyone else. Being polite takes little to no effort on your behalf and can brighten someone's day. April 8, 2013 Many people use Criagslist as a way to look for work and musicians are no different. Naturally, they don't want to play for charity work, they need money to pay for bills so this guy put an ad on Craigslist saying he was available for hired help. The only problem with this ad is there are so many red flags, he's almost unhireable.

April 5, 2013 I'll best honest, I didn't know Roger Ebert. Sure, I knew of him, but wasn't a follower of his. I didn't care if he thought a movie was good or bad. I didn't watch his show. I do know that he had one of the coolest jobs in the world and definitely struggled at the end of his life. All too recently, they're showing pictures of what he looked like near the end of his days, after surgery missing his jaw and all that. I'd rather remember him for this picture. Just some dude who doesn't look like a super model or fashion plate who loves what he did.
