I went fishing this weekend -- like I always do! Four a.m. is the best time to do it because you can catch a lot of fish and there aren't a whole lot of people around yet. It is peaceful. Jeeps are actually quite peaceful while they are driving, too. But when you are trying to catch a fish and a Jeep lands in the water, you don't have much luck after that.
The Yakima Valley seems to be growing a little bit more every day, and new businesses keep popping up. It seems, though, that the businesses are often similar. For example, Mexican restaurants. I love Mexican food, but we have a billion Mexican restaurants already. We also seem to have a mattress store on every corner. I haven't bought a mattress in years. Don't need to. When I need one, I will have a billion options. But what sorts of businesses would you like to see come to our area?
94.5 KATS-FM auction ends April 15th at 7pm. There really is a ton of killer stuff on the auction but, my favorite is the truck from Mid Valley Auto! First of all, it is a Ford. I love Ford, Chevy and Mopar. It is extremely inexpensive and the bid is only at $15800.00 right now. That is an awesome price for a badA$$ truck.
I love Google Earth. It really is so much fun to go to different places in the world and dream you could go there just by the way it looks from Google Earth. Little did I know that the shape of a couple of blocks in our very own neighborhood in Yakima would be a '12' for the 12th Man Seahawks fan!
The true radio world has lost last of the great radio DJ's. The one who could act on the radio and we could picture him doing it. Arthur Anderson who we all know as the voice of 'Lucky' from the Lucky Charms commercial's! I loved that commercial when I was a kiddo! He was awesome when he said 'Hearts, Moons, Stars, Clovers!' It made me want to eat the cereal right then and there!
Facebook is crazy. We use it every single day. I would prefer to actually talk to the person. That way you say what you need to say and then you are done. The average person in this day and age would rather send a message of some sort. It wastes my time. But, it is what it is. So the question is, do you download Facebook Messenger' because that is what everyone wants or do you just tell them to text you? UGH! It truly is a vicious cycle.
I am still blown away that people really meet other people on Craigslist. I guess I don't understand it. How, when you put a 'Missed Connection' on Craigslist, will the person know you are talking about them? How? Anybody could answer those adds! Here is the stupidest one I think I have ever seen.
Washington towns and city's are fairly easy to pronounce, if you have lived here. If you are just some normal person checking out towns in Washington State, there is no way you could pronounce some of them. Here are the 5 hardest city's in the state of Washington that out-of-towners wouldn't know unless they have heard them pronounced.
A 3-year-old Franklin County boy wound up in deep doo-doo last weekend when he fell into a septic tank that was not closed properly. The kiddo survived, thank God, but it's scary to think of someone dying like that.
I love it when people can sing our National Anthem. Even if it is not so good, at least they still know the song. I think it is important if you are a true American. When someone nails it driving around in their car, well, they win the day!
