February 29th is 'Leap Day' and it only comes every 4 years. So, it is very unfortunate that bachelor's only get a day every 4 years. If you are a bachelor, then you need to take advantage of this day. Basically, it is like 'Sadi Hawkins' where the woman ask the men that are single to go on a date or even get married on this day.
They are so many ways to stalk people now. The good ol' "follow them home and watch" is always the creepiest thing you can do if you are stalking someone. Second creepiest thing is to put what you are thinking on Craigslist missed connections and reference their kids.
It is the last day of February. It is also an extra day in this month. Leap day. But, February, oh, how we will not miss you. In fact, I am going to pretend that it is already March, because the only things about you, February, that I like is the fact that you really are a short month anyway.
A brutal attack on a United States veteran took place at a McDonald's in Washington, D.C. There is a lot that goes along with this story but, one of my biggest concerns is that not one person standing out front of the McDonald's helped this veteran. Not one. More than one took part in his attack.
Motel 6 spokesperson Tom Bodett turns a young 61 years old. He is an accomplished radio host, author and a voice actor. He certainly has done a lot in his 61 years but, he is most famous for his Motel 6 radio commercials. That is amazing.
Girl Scout cookie season is upon us. I buy at least 10 boxes of the purple-box ones. I never remember their names, so I hope that they don't change the color of the box. The girls are out in full force going door-to-door, business to business, getting the cookies out there.
So why not set up shop outside of a business that you know will get you a cookie-sale merit badge with the Girl Scouts?
The Central Washington Sportsmen show was last weekend (Feb 19-21), and what fun it was. They had something for everyone. Real wolves, a cougar, porcupines, snakes, owls and many other predators on exhibit. There were a ton of vendors there as well, along with classes to learn how to hunt and fish. Townsquare Media got involved with the fish races in the center of the Yakima Valley SunDome.
The Yakima Valley Special Olympics and Yakima Police Department showed up in full force this weekend for an outstanding event. Polar Plunge 2016 was held at Sarg Hubbard Park in Yakima -- and it again raised a lot of money for our local Special Olympics!
