He only has one rule, and he broke it... according to a Florida newspaper. Stephen Merrill passed away unexpectedly last week and while the family was handling everything that comes with the sadness of death at the funeral home, they had to write an obit for the local newspaper, which requires that all death notices include the cause of death somewhere. The family didn't have the reason yet and a close friend who accompanied the family made the joke that he died from "an uppercut from Batman." The father of the deceased laughed and said, "Yeah, the cause of death was an uppercut from Batman."

As with most publications, the paper poopooed the idea but eventually gave in and printed the obit for the comic book loving 31-year-old. Merrill's Fiancee says, "He wouldn't have wanted you to come across his obit and be sad. He would have wanted you to come across the obit and laugh and have your spirits lifted."

Expected at the funeral will be Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Selina Kyle & Commissioner James Gordon.
