Looks like Zack Snyder is trying to steal some of the spotlight from Disney and Lucasfilm. The director will reportedly reveal the first five seconds of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer online just an hour before Star Wars Celebration begins on Thursday. Five seconds sounds pretty lame, which is why Snyder is offering fans a chance to see the entire trailer shortly after…in a theater. Sure, why not.

Latino Review reports the rumor that Snyder will debut the first five seconds of the Batman v Superman trailer online this Thursday at 9 a.m. That’s only an hour before Star Wars Celebration kicks off, and I highly doubt that’s a coincidence. Snyder will reportedly post the short snippet on his Twitter account, inviting fans to sign up to see the full trailer in theaters on April 20. It’s unclear if the trailer will be attached to anything else, but it certainly doesn’t sound like it will, which means you’ll go to a theater to watch one three-minute trailer — that’s possibly enough time to shotgun some Milk Duds.

Or you can wait until May 1, when the trailer will hit theaters with Avengers: Age of Ultron — you won’t have to sign up to see it, and you have the satisfaction of seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron after you sit through the trailer. Not to say that this Batman v Superman trailer might not be cool, but I don’t know that I’d like to drive over to a theater just to watch one trailer.

But if you’re just that devoted to Batman and Superman, and Batman v Superman, then pay attention to Snyder’s Twitter feed on Thursday morning.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
