Bleeding Through’s Van Skids Off Road During Farewell Tour

Bleeding Through

Bleeding Through recently embarked on the first leg of their U.S. farewell tour. As an extension to the original list of dates, the band added one last date in Albuquerque, N.M., but Bleeding Through nearly didn’t make it to the show. On their way to the gig, Bleeding Through’s van drove off the road, totaling the act’s trailer.

Strangely enough, Bleeding Through experienced another van crash almost exactly 10 years ago. In December 2003, while on the road for the ‘Pure Hatred’ tour with Chimaira, Soilwork and As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through’s van hit a patch of black ice near Park City, Utah. Other vehicles had already crashed right ahead of Bleeding Through, so after the group’s van lost control, it slammed into a truck which was already flipped over onto its side. The accident forced Bleeding Through to drop off the tour.

Luckily, the band was able to make the scheduled performance this time around, although they originally weren’t sure:

Shortly after the Facebook post, Bleeding Through delivered some good news to their Albuquerque fans:

UPDATE!!!! We are back in the van driving to Albuquerque. See you at the show?

Bleeding Through frontman Brandan Schieppati thanked fans for coming out to the band’s farewell shows, promising to announce a leg of West Coast dates soon:

Stay tuned for Bleeding Through’s additional farewell tour dates.
