Cannibal Corpse’s ‘Hammer Smashed Face’ Covered on Bass Clarinet – Best of YouTube

Here we have a video of a talented young man playing Cannibal Corpse‘s most famous song, ‘Hammer Smashed Face’ on his bass clarinet. More like ‘Hammer Smashed Bass (Clarinet),’ right!? Sorry, that was the best we could come up with.

While we might be joking around here, what isn’t a joke is this video. The rapid pace of the song doesn’t allow for frequent or large breaths to be taken. This makes the cover even more impressive as he tears through the Corpse classic. The squawks coming from the bass clarinet are not missed notes, but emulating the pinch harmonics of the guitars in the song as best can be done on the woodwind instrument.
