1. OREGON TOURISM

Well, it's like "Keep Portland Weird"...it's pretty far out there. It's animated and filled with images that are almost psychedelic. Their are children riding a giant rabbit, a huge caterpillar bicycling through the forest, and clouds resembling humpback whales.

The anime-inspired video --called "Only Slightly Exaggerated" --features extremely vibrant colors along with reptiles reading newspapers.

The ad is part of a new $5-million-dollar campaign to bring in more tourist revenue. A Travel Oregon spokeswoman says, "We felt like the only way to convey the incredible feeling of being in Oregon is through animation." Acid or Mushroom trip much?

2. WORLD'S LONGEST LASTING RAINBOW

The Guinness Book has published a record breaking rainbow lasting 8-hours, 58-minutes over Taipei, Taiwan, back on November 30, 2017. Chinese Culture University professor Chou Kun-Hsuan saw it himself and says, "It was amazing ...It felt like a gift from the sky." Rainbows typically last less than an hour, and this one far out shined the previous record holder, an 5-hour 55 minute beauty spotted over Yorkshire, England in 1994.

3. A NEW ROLLERCOASTER WILL CHARGE PHONES WITH YOUR SCREAMS

The Walking Dead roller coaster, features actors that jump out to scare guests on the trip and the screaming riders will have their collective noise harnessed to charge smartphones. There is a small box with red LED lights attached to their carriages. As the screams of the brave passengers grow louder, the lights on the box will grow, too. The box is an energy harvester, which collects power from screams and vibrations.

4. A RUBIK'S CUBE GETS SOLVED IN A FRACTION OF A SECOND

A masters student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology designed a computer that completes the puzzle in 0.38-seconds. The device has two PlayStation Eye cameras that capture images of all six sides of the cubes, then uses tiny arms to twist and complete. It's received about 5.5 million views as of this writing.

5. IT LOOKS LIKE THE WORLD'S WORST POLICE SKETCH...WORKED!

Cops in Lancaster, PA say a man pretended to be a worker at a local market before making off with a cash till. A witness was able to give police a very crude and cartoonish sketch of the suspect that looked like something a five-year-old would draw. Surprisingly, the sketch led cops to identify 44-year-ol Hung Phuoc Hguyen. They've charged him with multiple counts of theft.

6. MAN WALKS RIGHT THROUGH DUST DEVIL TORNADO

Tri-Citians know all about these, heck, it's the mascot of the minor league baseball team. A guy in South Africa filmed somebody letting one pass through him, and then he jogs through it again. There were no survivors. Kidding. It was about 30 to 40 feet high.
