If old-time soothsayers would've had the technology we have in this century, they would be having a field day with the-end-is-near warnings.

Hurricane Patricia, the largest storm ever recorded, is expected to hit sometime today off the shores of Mexico.

People in Mexico are taking precautions against the storm, which the National Hurricane Center in Miami has upgraded to a Category 5 hurricane capable of "potentially catastrophic" damage. Meteorologists say the winds have increased to more than 200 mph, making it the strongest storm on record in the eastern Pacific and Atlantic.

This is so crazy. I hope everyone gets to higher ground and is safe. The question, since it is such a large storm, will we feel it in Washington state?

Pray for those in Mexico and let's hope by this afternoon Hurricane Patricia has dissipated.
