The Flaming Lips have officially succeeded in their mission to break the Guinness World Record for most concerts performed in multiple cities in a 24-hour period. Wayne Coyne and his crew of merry pranksters rocked eight gigs in the allotted time, traveling from city to city via bus and besting rapper Jay-Z‘s previous mark of seven along the way.

Radiohead have suffered a set back after the tragic stage collapse incident that claimed the life of their friend and drum tech earlier this month in Toronto. The U.K. band was forced to postpone several European tour dates that immediately followed the June 16 show, but have now announced the rescheduled itinerary.
We recently reported that Godsmack nixed of a few European dates due to frontman Sully Erna’s unidentified vocal troubles, but now the band has canceled the rest of the scheduled shows on their European trek.
Filter have expanded their summer tour, adding several new dates (listed below.) The band entered the studio in April with producer Bob Marlette to record their fifth studio album ‘Gurney and the Burning Books.’ It is due to be released sometime later this year.
