Sigourney Weaver Confirmed For a Cameo in the ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot

Sigourney Weaver was the only one of the core actors from the original film (minus Rick Moranis who retired from acting) who was not going to be appearing in the new Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig version. But, as it turns out, Weaver will be appearing in the new Ghostbusters movie, alongside Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd and Annie Potts.

Garrett Hedlund Says ‘Tron 3’ Isn’t Dead Yet

Disney surprised everyone earlier this year that Tron 3, a sequel to the mediocre 2010 Tron: Legacy, was on the fast-track. Stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde were set to return, along with original director Joseph Kosinski. And then, just as quickly as the sequel materialized, it disappeared. Disney abruptly canceled the film and everyone was left scratching their heads. Why randomly start developing Tron 3 (a movie that, frankly, few were clamoring for) five years after Tron: Legacy only to cancel it just a few short months later? Well, now Hedlund is saying it might not actually be as dead as you think.

You’re Killing Me, Smalls With These 10 ‘The Sandlot’ Facts

The young cast of The Sandlot had a lot of great on-screen adventures while filming the classic 90s baseball comedy. As it turns out, they had some fun off-screen as well. One night after filming had wrapped, Smalls, Benny, Squints and the gang headed out to a nearby movie theater in Utah where they were shooting and snuck into a screening of Basic Instinct to see the notorious Sharon Stone leg cross on the big screen. This is just one of the facts in the latest installment of You Think You Know Movies!

Wait, Is Vin Diesel Going to Direct ‘Fast and Furious 8’?

The Fast and Furious franchise wouldn’t be where it is now without Vin Diesel. The films didn’t even kick into high gear until Diesel returned for 2009’s Fast and Furious, and the box-office numbers have been climbing astronomically since then. To say Universal owes Vin Diesel a gigantic debt of gratitude is an understatement, but exactly how much do they owe him? Would they actually let Diesel, who has little experience directing a movie let alone directing a movie on the scale of a Fast and Furious film, behind the camera of Fast and Furious 8? According to a new report, this may be what Vin Diesel wants and Universal is terrified.

Colin Trevorrow Teases ‘Jurassic World 2’ and the New Trilogy of ‘Jurassic Park’ Movies

Every single human being with access to a movie theater saw Jurassic World this summer, making it the highest grossing film of all time not directed by James Cameron (aka, the third highest grossing film of all time). A sequel was inevitable. But how about a trilogy? Because director Colin Trevorrow says that he always had a three-movie arc in mind. Now, $1.6 billion later, he’s able to start talking about it like a real thing that will actually happen and not some crazy plan.

The New ‘Point Break’ Trailer Pushes Remake Culture to the Breaking Point

The world wasn’t exactly crying out for a remake of Point Break, but here we are. We didn’t ask for a modern take on Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 action semi-classic, but maybe we did something to deserve it. Then again, if the new trailer is any indication, we don’t know what anyone could have possibly done to deserve this movie happening to them.

New ‘Steve Jobs’ Trailer: Is Michael Fassbender an Oscar Frontrunner?

We weren’t sure what to think about Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic after the first trailer. Yes, it seemed dramatic and fascinating, but also highlighted a performance by Michael Fassbender as the former Apple CEO that didn’t really look or sound at all like Steve Jobs. Could the film overcome that hurdle? After the film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month to rave reviews — specifically calling out Fassbender’s “enthralling” and “stunning” — it may be time to fully buy in to this project. If you’re left doubting, a brand new trailer has arrived to help convince you.

Jawny Depp can be a great actuh. But at a certain point in the recent past, Jawny seemed to stop looking faw great material and stahted looking faw anything that would affawd him the awppawtunity to put on a crazy wig and speak in a weeuhd accent. In the past few yeeuhs he’s played a vampiyuh with crazy hair and a weeuhd accent, a Native American with a bird on his head and a weeuhd accent, a Canadian detective with a fake nose and a weeuhd accent, a singing wolf with crazy hair and a weeuhd accent, a British art thief with a crazy mustache and a weeuhd accent, and now, in Black Mass, he’s James “Whitey” Bulgah, with thinning hair and a thick Bahston accent.
