It’s not been a good year for Puddle of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin. After starting the year with a cocaine possession charge, the vocalist was arrested again today (Sept. 4) after getting into an argument with a flight attendant that led to an emergency landing.
It’s been a while since Billy Corgan last made headlines for getting into a slap fight with another band. We figured maybe he had decided to lay low as he prepares for the Smashing Pumpkins‘ upcoming tour, but most likely, it’s because he’s run out of bands to complain about. That was the implication last Friday (Aug. 31), when Corgan went on the radio to clarify his recent remarks about Soundgarden.

Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe returned home to the States after spending five long weeks in a Czech Republic prison, but his legal battle is just getting started. With manslaughter charges still looming from a 2010 concert incident, Blythe will likely have to return to Prague to stand trial and as the battle rages on, Blythe’s legal bills continue to build.
The role of Erykah Badu will now be played by Amanda Palmer. The former Dresden Dolls singer has replaced Badu in the not-safe-for-work Flaming Lips video ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,’ which Badu starred in before calling the finished product “tasteless.”
There’s sad news to report, as Eric Cook, guitarist for power/prog metal outfit Lethal, has lost his battle with cancer.
