Today’s celebrity cleavage belongs to an old cougar singer-songwriter best known for her work in world of country music.

She has composed over 3,000 songs and she is considered one of the most successful female country artists of all time – with nearly 100 million in album sales. She got her start singing on local radio and television programs like The Cas Walker Show on both WIVK Radio and WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. At thirteen years old, she had recorded a single for a small Louisiana label, Goldband Records, and performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

It was at the Opry where she first met Johnny Cash, who encouraged her to go where her heart took her and not care what others thought. After graduating high school in 1964, she moved to Nashville to further peruse her music career. Her initial success came as a songwriter, writing two top ten hits with her uncle Owens for Bill Phillips and Skeeter Davis.
