Could NCAA Championship Come Home? Washington School Ranked No. 3

The state of Washington hasn't brought home an NCAA men's basketball championship.

WSU last advanced to the Final Four in 1941 during the second World War. University of Washington last advanced to the Final Four in 1953, the year my father was born.

Gonzaga has been a regular in the NCAA tournament since 1995. Their dream season came to an end in 2017 in a championship game loss to North Carolina.

This season, they're sitting pretty. They're on a 16-game win streak and are currently ranked third in the country. They beat then No. 1-ranked Duke (currently No. 2) in November and barely lost to current top-ranked Tennessee in December.

Can the Zags make the 509 proud with another Final Four appearance?
