Courtney Love’s Dad Wins Father of the Year Award for Accusing Her of Murder

Since the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain‘s suicide came and went, Nirvana have been in the news more than usual lately. Much of it was good, like Nirvana’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Nirvana secret show Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic played after the induction ceremony. Unfortunately, it also means it’s time to rehash old conspiracy theories involving Cobain’s death.

According to the Daily Mail, Courtney Love‘s father, Hank Harrison, claims he is convinced that his daughter is responsible for her late husband’s death. “No doubt she was capable,” said the man who used to mail his daughter LSD and Ecstacy when she was a teenager. “I can’t prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty.”

Now that Nirvana is back in the news for a few minutes, Harrison is taking this opportunity to speak out against his estranged daughter and to “republish” his ebook, ‘Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain.’

A press release from 2012 said of the book, “Harrison believes Kurt Cobain was murdered, but he also believes that reopening the case will do no good.
He feels that dangerous and powerful people in high places, people far more powerful than his daughter, want this case shut tight and sealed forever.” If you’re intrigued, you can purchase a PDF version for just $4 — a paltry sum to pay for the “truth.”

This grab for attention is the latest in a wave of conspiracy theories to flood the news since the anniversary of Cobain’s death. The Seattle Police Department has been releasing new-found evidence from the case, and a new documentary, ‘Soaked in Bleach,’ echoing Harrison’s allegations is set to be released soon.
