Things travel fast on the information superhighway (the internet) and the days of the 24-hour news cycle tend to make us discard information as quickly as we get it.

Every once in a while though, something grabs the attention and tugs at our very base humanity, for better or worse, and gets spread rapidly far and wide.

The term coined is "gone viral."  This is an example that I stumbled across on a number of Facebook posts today.
It is a handwritten letter from a dad to his teenage son that was written after the father overheard a telephone conversation.  It reads:

“Nate,

I overheard your phone conversation with Mike last night about your plans to come out to me.
The only thing I need you to plan is to bring home OJ and bread after class. We are out, like you now. I’ve known you were gay since you were six, I’ve loved you since you were born.
-Dad
P.S.-Your mom and I think you and Mike make a cute couple.”

Would you write a letter like this to your child under similar circumstances?
