Dave Grohl, hilarious exactor of revenge, got back at Survivor host Jeff Probst today (March 10) in an ongoing prank war.

Last month, during an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Probst revealed he initiated the pranks when he impersonated Maroon 5’s Adam Levine in a series of emails to Grohl from a fake account. Probst made Levine out to be an over-enthusiastic Grohl superfan, ultimately making the Foo Fighters leader a little wary of Levine. Probst eventually revealed his joke to Grohl, but today, it came back to bite him during an interview on KROQ’s The Kevin & Bean Show.

While Probst was a guest on the radio show, Grohl called in under the guise of Queensrÿche drummer and Probst's one-time bandmate Scott Rockenfield. (Probst previously told Grohl he briefly played in the metal outfit.) However, Probst was quick to pick up on Grohl’s fakeout and revealed just what was going on to listeners. You can hear Grohl’s call, and Probst’s original Fallon interview, at the bottom of the page.

Grohl is on a bit of a jokester streak as of late. Just last week, Foo Fighters trolled everyone when they promised a seemingly foreboding "official band announcement" in the midst of breakup rumors. In the end, the announcement was just a goofy video that reimagined Grohl as cliché rock star-gone-solo and the Foo Fighters fronted by Nick Lachey. It concluded with the band reaffirming, "For the millionth time, we're not breaking up."
