Seattle remains the # 1 team in the NFL according to most experts, despite losing to San Francisco on Sunday.

At ESPN.com, the analysts still have the Seahawks on top:

The 49ers rushed for 137 yards before contact and averaged 4.3 yards before contact per rush Sunday. Both numbers are the worst this season for the Seahawks defense.

At Foxsports.com, former NFL head coach Brian Billick has Seattle at #1 as well:

Despite the loss, the Seahawks remain the best team in the NFL. They are too tough to beat at home and they should have no problem winning out and locking up the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Elliot Harrison at NFL.com still has the Seahawks in the top slot.

Broncos fans might get upset, but the Seahawks are still the best team in football. They play all three phases of the game and -- most importantly -- can stop teams from scoring. Sure, Seattle lost on Sunday, but it was to the archrival 49ers at the 'Stick. A two-point defeat to a likely playoff team on the road is not enough to knock the 12th Man from the top spot, not when the Broncos surrendered a lot of points (again) in a home win over a non-playoff team.

However, Pete Prisco at CBSSports.com drops Seattle to #3.

They were in a tough spot playing on the road on a short week against a division rival. They still have the inside track to the No. 1 seed.
