Recently, Dr. Charlotte Reznick, a professor at UCLA, said that kissing one's children on the lips "can be stimulating" and "confusing" for the youngster, going as far as to say, "If I had to answer when to stop kissing your kids on the lips, it would be now.”
I found this to be odd as I kiss my son on the lips and was raised that way as well. I can understand cultural differences where some people, not being raised the same, might find it weird, but in no way has it ever been sexual.
