Eleven weeks, 33 bands and thousands of people. Yes, Downtown Summer Nights, in just its second year of existence, seems to have been an even bigger success this time around.

Powered by Chinook Fest, bands from Seattle, Portland, Spokane -- and yes, Yakima -- entertained on the Stewart Subaru stage to the delight of neighbors, music lovers and people who wanted to get out on a warm summer evening and do a little dancing.

In addition to a beer and wine garden, vendors offered a variety of foods, crafts and kids activities on Fourth Street, which has been closed to traffic behind the Capitol Theatre each Thursday night since June.

Here's a pictorial look back at how we spent our summer.
