Back in May, Evanescence revealed that they were reimagining some of their biggest songs with the help of a full orchestra and added electronics for a new studio album called Synthesis. While details on the album release are still being ironed out, the band has announced plans to take their show on the road with the "Synthesis Live" tour.

The trek finds Amy Lee and her band playing venues across North America beginning Oct. 14 in Las Vegas and continuing through Dec. 19 in Portland, Ore. VIP pre-sales start tomorrow (Aug. 15) with the general on-sale taking place this Friday (Aug. 18). Every ticket sold will come with a download of the Synthesis album when it arrives this fall.

"This is a total passion project for me. There are so many layers in our music, underneath the huge drums and guitars," says Lee. "I’ve always wanted to shine a light on some of the gorgeous David Campbell arrangements and programming elements in our songs, and that idea snowballed into completely re-doing them with full orchestra, not just strings, elaborate programming and experimentation. This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I’m so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we’ve built over the years. I’m also really excited about the new material on the album. Besides the two new songs, there are some really beautiful instrumental in-between moments. The whole thing flows like a big, dynamic soundtrack.”

As stated, those purchasing tickets will eventually receive the Synthesis album upon its release, but there will be songs from the set available prior to the street date, starting with the reworking of the song that started it all for the band, "Bring Me to Life," which will be available for download on streaming services and in digital stores this Friday (Aug. 18).

For all ticketing information, including VIP options, head to the band's website. Meanwhile, an AT&T pre-sale will be available to AT&T customers as part of the AT&T Thanks program starting tomorrow (Aug. 15) at 10AM local time tomorrow at this location.

Evanescence are currently wrapping up the Synthesis album with producer Will Hunt and orchestral arranger and composer David Campbell. Stay tuned for details about the release when they become available.
