Fireworks Added To Opening Day Of Fair

The Central Washington State Fair opens this Friday (September 22) and as an added attraction to help celebrate the Fair’s 125th Anniversary there will be a special fireworks display on Friday night.

The fireworks will start at 10 p.m. at Yakima County Stadium, on the north end of State Fair Park. The stadium will be open for all fairgoers to sit and enjoy the fireworks.

“We thought a big fireworks display would really be great start to our anniversary celebration this year,” said Greg Stewart, president and general manager of the Central Washington State Fair.

The Fair opens at noon on Friday with a special promotion offering free parking and admission for only $1, until 4 p.m.
