By the time we rolled up (3:45 p.m.) on to the grounds at State Fair Park on Saturday for the Shinedown concert at the Yakima Valley SunDome, there were already a good 20-30 fans lined up in anticipation of the doors opening at 6:30 that evening.

Why so early? Obviously because the floor was general admission - as in, first come first served. If you wanted to be up close and personal with Maria Brink and In This Moment or Brent Smith and Shinedown, you had better have gotten there early.

The earliest "bird" of them all was Meagan who drove all the way from Seattle to see the show. What time did she get there and how was she rewarded for her dedication to the band? KATS Afternoon Drive jock Curt Cartier asked her that... and then told her that.

Little did she realize what was about to happen next!
