You know you've achieved a certain level of fame when the mere hint that you'll announce news in a few days is news in and of itself.

Foo Fighters posted a vague Facebook update promising "big news" on Monday, and the safe money is on something about the band's upcoming eighth full-length.

Still, we already know a lot about it already: It's produced by Butch Vig; it was recorded on two 24-track tape machines at eight studios across the country; it'll feature guest spots by the EaglesJoe Walsh and Cheap Trick‘s Rick Nielsen among many others; the entire recording process was filmed for an upcoming HBO documentary series called 'Sonic Highways' (directed by frontman Dave Grohl); it's supposed to drop in November; oh, and Grohl told the Hollywood Reporter fans will be surprised by the diversity on the album.

There's a good chance Monday's announcement will involve either the album title, the official release date or dates for a supporting tour. What do you think it'll be? Luckily, the Foos also posted a link to their new online store, so you can speculate while you browse.

Also, check out the teaser for 'Sonic Highways,' which premieres on HBO on Oct. 17:
