Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel announced last year that he was working on a side project called Lieutenant. And now, details are coming out about the band’s first album.

The debut disc is called ‘If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week,’ and it hits stores on March 10. Mendel acts as frontman and chief songwriter on the effort. According to Stereogum, he worked with an impressive list of musicians on this project including former Modest Mouse drummer Joe Plummer, Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett and Sunny Day Real Estate’s Jeremy Enigk.

Lieutenant have showcased their new music by playing a couple of shows in California, and they are expected to schedule more dates for this year. Head here to stream their track ‘Believe The Squalor.’
