Foo Fighters are not breaking up and "nobody's f---ing going solo," according to what's potentially the most hilarious statement ever released by a human.

In an incredibly well-produced video that pokes direct fun (with screenshots) at all the hubub music sites (ourselves included) made about their potential breakup, the band bring in an all-star cast (Butch Vig, Nick Lachey) just to troll us all. Watch it above.

It all comes on the heels of a New York Post story that suggested founder and frontman Dave Grohl might pursue a career away from the band, citing his solo performance at the Oscars this past weekend as a telling sign.

Then there was this interview from January in which drummer Taylor Hawkins spoke with Artisan News about the band's plan to go on indefinite hiatus. “We did so much in the last five or six years, we as a band could go into the studio tomorrow and have just as much fun as we ever had," he said. "But I think the world needs a break from us for a little while."

So when the band posted that they would be making an "official band announcement" tonight, the rumors only spawned more rumors. Turns out it was all just to get us to take ourselves less seriously.

But, you should really just watch the video to get the full picture.

Just last summer, after Grohl had broken his leg in the middle of a concert in Sweden, he told Entertainment Weekly that Foo Fighters will probably always exist. "It's a family and it’s become a way of life with us," he said. "We love each other. When the Foo Fighters show up to the airport and there’s four SUVs waiting to drive us away, we all get in one SUV, still, to this day. It’s how we f---ing roll… We’re not breaking up anytime soon, that would be like your grandparents getting a divorce. Too weird.”
