Before you get all worried about the Predator part of that headline, rest assured that it’s good news: Fox has actually moved Shane Black’s sequel up by almost an entire month, putting it in early February 2018, likely hoping to replicate the success of similar R-rated fare like Kingsman and Deadpool. The studio has also announced new release dates for two untitled Marvel projects and Robert Rodriguez’s Alita Battle Angel, as well as the spy thriller Red Sparrow.

Deadline reveals a slew of new release dates from Fox, starting with The Predator, Shane Black’s sequel to the ’80s action-sci-fi classic based on a screenplay he developed with Monster Squad’s Fred Dekker. The project has been moved up from March 2, 2018 to February 9, 2018, with production set to begin this fall.

Next are two previously announced untitled Marvel projects, with the first moving from January 12, 2018 to March 2, 2018, and the second from July 13, 2018 to June 29, 2018. Feel free to speculate away, but with Channing Tatum’s Gambit recently pulled from the schedule and plans in place for X-Force, New Mutants and Deadpool 2, those dates could belong to just about anything in the X-Men universe — including, possibly, another X-Men sequel.

Robert Rodriguez’s Alita Battle Angel will hit theaters on July 20, 2018. James Cameron’s long-developing adaptation of the Japanese manga recently set Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials star Rosa Salazar in the leading role, and while Cameron is mighty busy with those four (FOUR) Avatar sequels, he’ll remain on board Alita as producer.

Finally there’s Red Sparrow, the spy thriller that David Fincher was once attached to direct based on the novel by Jason Matthews. Last we heard, director Francis Lawrence was eyeing the project as a potential reunion with his Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence, and though neither have been confirmed, Fox has set a November 10, 2017 release — so we should be getting more of an update on this project relatively soon.

In addition to all of the above, Fox has secured a few more dates: Kate Mara’s sci-fi thriller Morgan will arrive on September 2. Greg Mottola’s Keeping Up With the Joneses, starring Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot, will hit theaters on October 21. And Warren Beatty’s highly-anticipated return to film (as both director and star), Rules Don’t Apply, has been confirmed for November 11.
