One of the true marks of a great song is seeing how it connects when other performers add their stamp to it, and the new Sprint ad just makes us appreciate Motley Crue's 'Home Sweet Home' all the more.

The spot, which recently hit the television airwaves, is promoting Sprint's new "Friends and Family" (aka "Framily) plan, by featuring a young girl playing her piano and her brother on drums delivering a rendition of Motley Crue's 'Home Sweet Home' in French.

The 'Framily Portrait' spot then proceeds to show us the diverse members of their circle (including a hamster?) that make up the friends and family of the plan. While the song generates warm fuzzies all around, the tag line drives home the point -- "Part friends, part family, all framily."

The Crue power ballad initially turned up on the 1985 album 'Theatre of Pain,' instantly recognizable for the piano part played by drummer Tommy Lee. An updated version of the track, 'Home Sweet Home '91,' was released on the band's 'Decade of Decadence' album. Even though the original barely cracked the Billboard Hot 100 and the updated version got as high as No. 37, it has become one of the band's best known songs and remained a concert favorite.
