Gonzaga Alumni, Father Greg Boyle: “I was Taught Everything of Value by Gang Members”

Father Greg Boyle spoke at the Pepperdine University (in Los Angeles) graduation ceremony last year. Not only is he the founder of Homeboy Industries, directing gang members to valuable members of the community, but he also calls Gonzaga University his alma mater.

In this video, he goes on to explain, after some one-liners and few chuckles, that he invited a few 'homies' to do a speech full of inspiration. It's a great speech from a life-long Bulldog.

Greg Boyle went to Gonzaga University and received his bachelor's in english and philosophy. Homeboy Industries takes Los Angeles past gang members and gang members that are recently released from jail and points them in a better direction, getting them involved in the community.
