Green Day can deliver a message like few others, and it's fitting that their new lyric video for "Troubled Times" arrives today, on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the day when we celebrate the work the civil rights leader did for America.

In a statement released along with the lyric video, singer Billie Joe Armstrong states, "Today we celebrate love and compassion more than ever." As for the clip, it juxtaposes King and footage of his civil rights speeches with a fiery figure that's representing current President Elect Donald Trump. Though Trump's face is not clearly shown due to the flames protruding from the facial area, the figure gesturing from the pulpit is sporting the red "Make America Great Again" hat.

"What good is love and peace on earth when it's exclusive," questions Armstrong's opening line of the song, which raises some serious concerns about the current state of the nation.

"Troubled Times" is featured on Green Day's latest release, Revolution Radio, which is available in stores and online now. You can purchase a copy in a variety of options via Green Day's webstore. And look for Green Day on tour at these locations.
