Congrats to Halestorm. Though still relatively early in their music career, the band continues to set the bar high and they just added their name to the record books once more. Halestorm are now tied for the most No. 1 songs by a female-fronted act on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart.

The anthemic "Amen" is the song that helped them reach the achievement, giving them their third Mainstream Rock chart-topper, following on the heels of "Apocalyptic" and "Freak Like Me." They actually tie the record held by their recent tourmates, The Pretty Reckless, who had pulled ahead of Halestorm when "Follow Me Down" topped the chart in May.

While there are plenty of women keeping the rock spirit alive and well, the ladies had been shut out of the Mainstream Rock top spot for over two decades. The last woman to hold the No. 1 spot on the Mainstream Rock chart prior to Halestorm in 2013 was Alannah Myles in 1990 with her bluesy rock single "Black Velvet."

Halestorm may have a chance to pull ahead of The Pretty Reckless as they have just begun promotion of their Into the Wild Life album, which arrived earlier this spring. The Pretty Reckless, meanwhile, have no tour dates on their schedule and appear to be turning their focus to their next studio album. Halestorm are touring Europe throughout August, but will return stateside in September. Check out their dates here.
