Not only is the weather just amazing in our area, but today just happens to be my favorite day: Friday the 13th. Everyone freaks out on this day. Most people think that it being the 13th, then it is not lucky. Well I am here to tell you that it is a lucky day.First of all, much of our American culture believes that bad things happen on Friday the 13th. We call these people superstitious. Don't walk under a ladder, don't cross a black cat's path ... Superstitious. This started a long time ago. Check out Wiki for the full details on this day.

I never had anything bad happen on this day, but I have had some seriously lucky stuff happen on this day.

My first Friday the 13th that something awesome happened was in 1984. I was in Salt Lake City at Park West Ski Resort. There was an amazing concert on the lawn since there was no snow. It was the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac and a few others that I cannot remember. But everyone was freaking out because it was Friday the 13th. I said I had to go to the bathroom, so I went to the Porta Potty and it was full. I saw one behind the stage that had no one at it. I went to go and right beside me was Stevie Nicks and Joan Jett! What the hell? I thought I was going to die. I went back and told my crybaby friends that were scared what had happened and of course they were pissed! HA!

I also went to Vegas once on Friday the 13th and won $18,000. I wish I still had that money now. HA!

I bought a 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Friday the 13th from some guy in Wyoming. I went to pay him and his wife was leaving him and cleaning him out. So he met me outside and said, 'How mush do you have on you because I wanna get out of here.' So I said a grand and that is what I gave him. He wanted 5,000 bucks for the T-Bird. Damn! He wasn't having a very lucky day, but that just made mine! BOOM

How do you feel about Friday the 13th? Is it really that bad?
