Hibou, ‘Glow’ – Free MP3 Download

After a year touring North America and Europe as the drummer of Craft Spells, 19-year-old Seattleite Peter Michel, aka Hibou, has made his first foray into a solo career. His woolgathering and hazey digital-pop sound has been likened to that of Brooklyn up-and-comers Beach Fossils -- a comparison that could prove highly beneficial for the young blood as that style of music earns more media attention in the aftermath of SXSW 2013.

January saw the release of AA-side single 'Glow' / 'Hollow,' from which today's free MP3 comes. Though only a two-song effort, the EP is a strong debut, and we expect Michel's fire to lead him through an extensive catalog of equally well-crafted material in the future.

When Diffuser.fm spoke with Michel about what's next, he responded excitedly. "Thanks so much, guys. I love you all!" he said. "Currently in my room working on the new EP -- get pumped."
