Over the weekend in Wenatchee, there was the first annual "Wen-Con" comic book convention, and our very own John Riggs went. He not only had a blast talking about his Retro-Games, he also got to see the legendary Adam West-era Batmobile!

Of course, I'm a huge Batman fan, and when I saw Riggs' Facebook post, I messaged him, called, twittered and finally texted him to get me something. I was not let down, as can be seen in the picture above. A plastic mold of the original Batarang and a Hot Wheels toy replica with stats of the original 1966 Batmobile!

I've wanted to see this car up close and personal for years. I'm not a car guy, but I am a Batman fanboy, and this car is simply awesome!

Last year in Walla Walla (where Adam West hails from) I went to celebrate Adam West Day, where this car was scheduled to be on display. But sadly, Batman of 1966 never fought crime in the rain and I was unable to get a pic with the V-8 of Justice. I did get my picture with Clint Young, the car's owner and Batman impersonator.

Clint told Riggs he will be at the second annual Adam West Days (9/19/2018) and the car will be there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine, as I plan to be there. If you want to know more about Wen-Con, and what went on, check out Riggs' video below. And for more on the Batmobile(s) of yester-years... check out the video below that!
