We know the feeling: That empty aquarium's never going to hold any of those tropical fish that look so soothing at the dentist's office. The kid's studded tires from the Honda he wrecked last winter are STILL in your garage. And let's face it, you're not really going to start using that weight set again anytime soon, are you?

So let's get real -- and let's clear some space for all the stacks of cash you can make by hauling that stuff down to Yakima's Biggest Yard Sale, sponsored by Goodwill in Yakima, Selah and Ellensburg. The sale is May 10 at J.M. Perry Technical Institute, 2011 W. Washington Ave. (by the Yakima airport).

But hurry, because booth space is limited and it's filling up fast. More than 2,000 shoppers showed up last year, which featured more than 70 booths.

This year, we're selling booth space on a first-come, first-served basis. Booth spaces, roughly the size of two parking spots, are $30 for regular household vendors and include admission for four people.

Here's what else you need to know if you're planning to sell anything:

-- All spaces must be fully paid in advance, and sellers are responsible for their own tables, chairs, shade, bags and change. And they must keep all their gear and goods within their designated booth areas.

-- Food and beverages will be available in the commercial vendor area only -- no food or drinks may be sold in the yard sale area, and violators will be asked to leave.

-- Porta-potties and parking are provided free for attendees

-- Power is not included or available for household vendors. If you need electricity, please speak with a Townsquare account executive to sign up for commercial yard sale space.

-- Seller set-up hours are 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. You must be ready to sell by 7:30.

-- Tear-down is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and sellers are responsible for cleaning up their own garbage. Anything left after 4 p.m. will become the property of Goodwill, which will bring in a truck for on-site donations. Goodwill representatives will also be available to answer questions about their Work Opportunity Center, and they'll be selling summer clothing items.

General admission to the sale is $3 per person or $2 if you bring a nonperishable food item to donate to Northwest Harvest Food Bank. Children under 10 get in free.

Sale hours are 8 a.m. to  2 p.m. (VIP members, however, may download their VIP Early Passes to shop exclusively between 7:45 and 8.)
