For vinyl fanatics, there are few labels better than Jack White’s Third Man Records. If you’ve been keeping an eye on Third Man’s website, you’ve likely noticed the addition of a new 7-inch, White’s latest single, ‘Would You Fight for My Love?’ b/w the non-album B-side cover, ‘Parallel.’

‘Parallel’ was originally written by Dean Fertita -- guitarist for the Dead Weather and touring keyboardist for White -- on his 2009 solo album, ‘Hello=Fire’ (his solo project was also called Hello=Fire). The track was co-written with Brendan Benson, multi-instrumentalist for the Raconteurs. Listen to the original version below:

And now, the song comes full-circle with White’s cover. White puts his signature spin on the tune, and cranks up his folk inspiration. Listen to the B-side below:

The studio track of the cover features White’s touring band, including the late, great Ikey Owens on piano and Moog (Fertita came on-board after Owens passed away).

If you like what you hear and you’re ready to take it for a spin, head to your local indie shop to pick up the 7-inch -- or visit Third Man Records’ official website for more information.

In the meantime, check out the front and back of the 7-inch sleeve:
