Kid Rock is mourning the death of his personal assistant, Michael Sacha, who died in an apparent ATV accident on Kid Rock’s property.

Sacha, 30, reportedly died during a cookout at Kid Rock’s massive estate in Whites Creek, Tenn. At around midnight on the morning of April 25, Sacha drove guests to Kid Rock’s driveway so they could catch an Uber home. According to police, Sacha seemed to have lost control of the ATV on his way back to the residence, crashing and ultimately losing his life.

The Tennessean reports Kid Rock and a friend called 911 after finding Sacha on an embankment late Monday morning. Sacha was reportedly lying face down on the side of Kid Rock’s driveway and was already dead by the time emergency help arrived.

Kid Rock posted a message on his personal website sharing his sadness over Sacha’s passing:

I am beyond devastated to report that my personal assistant Mike Sacha passed away today in an ATV accident here in Nashville. He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with. I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I can not imagine how they must feel. Myself, the band, our family, friends and co-workers are devastated over this loss. We were supposed to be back in Michigan today, but I am going to stay here with Mike until I can bring him home to his family. We’ve already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread. I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families’ privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend.
– Kid Rock

Our condolences go out to Michael Sacha’s family and friends during this difficult time.
