In light of the recent terror attack on an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, bands are handling the aftermath in a variety of ways. KISS, who are scheduled to play at the Manchester Arena this coming week, have announced that they are bowing out of the show.

In a statement, the band explained, "Following the tragic events in Manchester and the temporary closure of the Manchester Arena the scheduled concert of KISS’ KISSWORLDTour on the 30 May 2017 has been cancelled."

They continued, “We are heartbroken by the atrocity committed against the innocent victims of Manchester. We sadly will not be able to play Manchester Arena on the 30th May. We have always looked forward to these shows and our local fans, but in light of recent events a cancelled rock show seems of such little consequence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those affected and all the people of Manchester at this difficult time. We are with you and you are in our prayers."

Refunds for the show will be granted to all ticket holders at the point of purchase. The frontpage of the band's website currently states, "Manchester. We stand with you in this time of unspeakable tragedy," with the words emblazoned over a British flag.

KISS are currently on tour in Europe, but will return this summer and early fall for dates in North America. See their current tour schedule here
