Korn frontman Jonathan Davis recently went the extra mile to show his love for our troops by not only visiting wounded U.S. soldiers in Germany, but also by taking a course in bomb disposal training.

He may go by the moniker “J Devil” for his upcoming electronic EP, but Jonathan Davis’ recent activities are anything but devilish. According to Roadrunner Records, Davis paid a visit to Ramstein Air Force Base (not to be confused with the German metal band Rammstein) in Germany to visit with some wounded U.S. troops.

During Davis’ stay, he even strapped on a bomb suit and learned how to operate the bomb disposal robot. After passing the egg test — where he had to use the robot to pick up, transport, and drop an egg in a bowl without breaking it — the vocalist took a crash course in Readiness and Emergency Management: Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear Warfare Defense Orientation.

Davis wrapped up his stay by signing items for his fans, taking some photos, and eating lunch with the troops at the USO’s Wounded Warrior Center. For more on Jonathan Davis’ visit and to see more photos from the occasion click here.

Korn are currently touring overseas and is set to return to the U.S. for a tour that kicks off in Lubbock, Texas on April 20.
