The Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck hit theaters Friday (Aug. 7), but on Thursday, an unused clip featuring Cobain in bed dealing with stomach issues has surfaced, which you can watch below via Opie Radio, who wrote of the video:

The final scene that Brett Morgen cut from his critically acclaimed film, Montage of Heck. In this never-before-seen clip filmed by Courtney Love, Kurt Cobain describes his experience earlier that morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after getting tests done for his stomach ailments.

It was also announced yesterday that the film's soundtrack album will feature a dozen new, previously unheard Cobain tracks, which director Brett Morgan said will include things "from thrash to ragtime and everything in between," including "a sketch comedy routine" in which the Nirvana mastermind plays multiple characters.

Morgan said of the soundtrack album, "You really get a sense of how happy he was simply by creating himself. His lyrics are really playful, and, at times, you can feel his smile and warmth coming through."
