Rural bands often have a bit of the woods in them. Hudson Valley's own Last Good Tooth certainly fit this description. Their latest single, 'What's What I Do,' follows an odd meter, has an odd name and whispers like the wind through the lush foliage of the Northeast. Thankfully, the band's folky stylings proved unique enough to win the favor of Team Love records, which put out their debut record, 'Not Without Work and Rest.'

"'What's What I Do' was inspired by a person I've never spoken to, and never learning what they did, and the resulting confusion about telling myself what it was I did," guitarist Penn Sultan tells Diffuser.fm.

Yeah, we're a bit confused about that statement, too, but that's alright, as the song speaks for itself. 'What's What I Do' sounds like a little slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains coated in magical glue and lo-fi fuzz.

You can almost hear the cicadas awakening and the moonshine flowing as you approach the chorus. Check out the acoustic number below and follow Last Good Tooth on Facebook for more info.
