One of the best decisions I have made in my life is moving my young family to the city of Moxee 10 years ago.  Having grown-up in West Valley and watching it grow into a much more populated and less agricultural area, it has been nice to raise my son in an area that reminds me of where I grew up.  Back in 2004, Moxee proper had about 800 citizens.  Now about 3,500 reside in the small town located in east valley.

One of the best parts of small town living is knowing all of your neighbors and getting to actively participate in community events.  One highlight that we look forward to every year at Christmas time is the annual lighted parade that weaves through the neighborhood illuminating the night and spreading holiday cheer.

I have long-since touted the epic Fourth of July fireworks displays that Moxee has become known for but the lighted parade is certainly something we will stop right in the middle of whatever it is we are doing to jump up and run outside to hear the horn blast and Christmas music as the caravan rollicks by.

Here is a taste of what it's like, complete with a cameo appearance by my son Drew at the :32 mark (wearing a white Russell Wilson #3 jersey and waving at you!)

Special thanks to "Mr. Moxee" Al Benny and Ted Skroback for putting this video together!
