Linkin Park to Be Mercedes’ New Engine?

Electric cars are a booming industry, but the cars themselves aren't boomy. They're notoriously quiet, and that can actually be hazardous to oncoming pedestrians.

Mercedes has been in talks with Linkin Park to engineer sounds simulating an "electric motor." This would be a great fit. The guitar wizards have evolved their sound over the years from crunchy hard rock to eclectic.

When the CEO was asked about the future of Mercedes electric cars, he said,

“I started to talk with these guys about what is their interpretation of electrified sound. We’ve had a cooperation with Linkin Park for years. We’re really close.”
